Meet our Brookswood Veterinary Team:

Outside of work, Dr. Carey enjoys adventuring outdoors; Hiking, camping, kayaking and spending time with her husband, daughter and their three mischievous tabby cats!

Brookswood Veterinary Hospital has been locally owned for the past 40 years, and I look forward to keeping it that way for the next 40! One of my top values is family, and Brookswood Veterinary Hospital is just that, a family. The staff members have worked together for years, cultivating relationships with pets, their families and the community. Having a child of our own has made the value of family that much more meaningful.

Working with Dr. Marlow over the past few years has been knowledge enriching and inspiring. I can say with heartfelt gratitude that he has empowered me to be the veterinarian I am today. It is an honor that Dr. Marlow has given me this opportunity to carry on his legacy and work with his clients. I am proud to be the new owner of Brookswood Veterinary Hospital and look forward to building and fostering relationships with all of our amazing clients and friends for many years to come.” - Dr. Morgan Carey

Receptionist / Veterinary Office Assistant

Kathryn joined Brookswood Veterinary Hospital as a receptionist in August of 2021. She grew up in Southern Ontario and moved to British Columbia in 2021. In 2012 she graduated from Sheridan College in Community and Justice Studies and earned her Law Clerk Diploma from trIOS College in 2017. Kathryn took an unconventional route before getting into a field where she could work and help animals. From a young age Kathryn was petrified of all animals. She used to climb on top of her Dad’s shoulders if she saw a dog or cat. This all changed when she was introduced to a 3lb puppy, who she held all day. Her parents knew they had to take this miracle puppy home. Brandy was a beloved member of the family for 19 years and completely changed the way Kathryn interacted with animals. From then on she was an avid animal advocate and snuggler. Who regularly stops for all animals and talks to cats for hours at parties. Her soulmate later came in the form of an anxious black & white cat named Jersey who was her partner in crime for many years and is sorely missed.

She previously worked in the legal field & taxation but finds working with animals & their human parents much more fulfilling. She enjoys to read, write, discover new bakeries and paint in her spare time.
